Who we are

Monica Mentoring (M&M) is a family-owned organization dedicated to providing targeted support programs for underserved and underrepresented populations with a primary focus on serving girls and women who have special needs. Rooted in personal passion and deep community connections in the Coachella Valley, we promote personal growth and independence, foster social awareness, and cultivate a community of support where every individual can thrive with confidence and capability.

At M&M, our mission is to empower special needs girls and women by teaching essential social and life skills in a safe, inclusive, and fun environment. Our goal is to inspire lasting friendships and meaningful memories that enrich lives through personalized education, immersive experiences, and shared community support in the Coachella Valley.

Days & Times

Girls Program:

  • Mondays:  9 AM – 1 PM

  • Tuesdays:  9 AM – 1 PM

  • Wednesdays:  9 AM – 1 PM

  • Thursdays:  9 AM – 1 PM

  • Fridays:  9 AM – 1 PM

Boys Program:

  • Mondays:  1 PM – 5 PM

  • Wednesdays:  1 PM – 5 PM

Events & Community Engagement:

M&M hosts various special events & activity-enriching experiences throughout the year to foster community building, encourage movement & relaxation for participants. Join us in the fun on our next adventure by contacting Eden directly for more information.

Recent highlights include:  Pizza-making sessions, karaoke nights, PJ parties, dance nights out, holiday program specials, spirit week, dance, yoga, art, music, PT; & Zumba

Field Trips & Unique Adventures:

Our exclusive trips offer unforgettable experiences that go beyond exploration—designed in a safe & supportive environment to foster confidence, friendships, & life skills through fun, interactive, & hands-on experiences that leave a lasting impact! 

Recent highlights include: Nickelodeon, Stepping Stones Horse Barn, The Living Desert, Horse Show, Pioneer Town, and Paint & Fire

Social Skills

Monica Mentoring's Social Skills program empowers girls and women with special needs by enhancing their confidence, communication skills, and connections. It offers personalized guidance, interactive activities, and real-world practice in a supportive environment to foster social and emotional growth.

 

Our offerings include: Emotional Regulation & Processing, Events & Community Engagement, Field Trips, and Unique Adventures

Life Classes

Monica Mentoring’s Life Skills program empowers girls and women with special needs by providing essential tools for independence. Through hands-on learning and personalized coaching, the program focuses on building confidence in self-care, decision-making, and problem-solving, helping participants navigate life more easily and autonomously.

 

Key areas covered include: Cooking & nutritional workshops, Money management & budgeting, and Personal hygiene & self-care (ADLs/IADLs)

Arts & Crafts

Monica Mentoring’s Arts and Crafts program offers a creative outlet for girls and women with special needs. Participants engage in projects and activities that enhance confidence, fine motor skills, and a sense of accomplishment within a supportive environment.

 

 

Participants engage in: Colorful art projects, DIY craft creations, art painting classes, and Practical crafting skills that encourage independence
